Ok.. Here's the senario..
I realized 2 weeks ago that my drivers license was going to expire on 11/02/2009
So I go to PennDot.com Drivers License renewal website and attempt to renew it.. It gave me an error. I figure the website is having a problem and I try again in a couple days and got the same error. So I e-mail PennDot through their online form. I get the following e-mail from them today:

Thank you for contacting Driver and Vehicle Services.
Our records indicate that you are not able to renew your driving
privileges at this time due to a stop in Ohio. Please contact the Ohio
DMV at 614-752-7500 to address this situation and to have them remove
your name from the National Driving Registry.
Unfortunately, we are not able to renew your license until this has been
cleared.
Thank you for your inquiry,
Marcy Greene

I think to myself, Humm, I've only had 1 citation in Ohio back in 2004 but I mailed in the fine for that 5 years ago! Must be some mistake that shouldn't be too difficult to clear up. Right? OH NOOOOO....
I call the number provided in the e-mail, and after 2 hours of nothing but busy signals, it finally rings. then I'm on hold for 20 min before it finally sends me to a live human to talk to. I'm told that according to their records the I didn't have car back then!!! I'm like WTF!?!?! I Never had a laps of insurance back then!!! I'm sure my insurance provider can clear this up for me.. Right?? No.. It gets more complicated.... She asks me what vehicle did I own back then. I tell her it was a 2000 Chevy Malibu. She says that she has on record that I was driving a 2000 Saturn. Now I remember the night I was pulled over. My friend Crystal was with me and we were driving her room mates car.. I didn't remember the make/model but that doesn't matter. I don't remember if we showed proof of ins or not but I wasn't cited for not having it so I assume I must have given it to the cop, but alas here this chick is telling me on the phone that I have a choice.. Either pay the $125 dollar restoration fee with will get my name off of some national "Do Not License this guy" list in 3 business days, or track down the guy who owned this car 5 years ago, who has since moved to Florida somewhere and no one has heard from him in years, and have him get in touch with his insurance company to have them send Ohio BMV proof that he had insurance on 09/10/2004!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
