USER REVIEW

I think the B-ham has the best wings (that I've tried so far in my wing eating career). Eric Jr. and Thai Fire are so delicious. Some of the complaints about the bar are my favorite things about the bar - it's not on the main drag of the South Side. This is a very close first, after the wings of course. I avoid going on wing nights because the place is packed and packed with college kids. The beer selection is one of the best in the city. I am by no means a regular but do know one of the bartenders and am always welcomed with great services (except Wednedays when the girls with short skirts are working). Also, their salads are great. The balsamic is a good one and they use greens! I definitely recommend the B-ham to those looking for good food and beers.

They have been nominated for Best Wings in Pittsburgh ever since we started the Best Of voting... winning it in 2006. So if you still think they have the best wings, be sure to VOTE!

Dude you run a great bar, so I'll tell you what I tell every other bar owner who thinks he makes great wings... Franks Redhot is good stuff, I enjoy it myself, but if you use it as the main flavor agent in your wings, you sell wings that taste just like almost every other bar or pizza joint in town.

I totally agree and could not have said it better myself! I can't stand "orange" wings!!!

Oh I don't hate Franks RedHot wings at all, I just don't think that they are special in any way. When you go to a place like BBT we are talking about sauces that have had a real Chef's hand in their creation. There was some real time spent on tweaking the sauce and likely several batches voted on before it was put in front of customers.

Not only that but oil temps, cook times and wing size were all considered.

I bring that up because I really like the wings at Excuses and I have no doubt that the cooking method took more time to finalize than the flavoring did. I don't say that to slam the flavor, but because they are one of the few places in the city who sell wings that tender.
