USER REVIEW

First off I gave this place a 9 because apparently I cant give it a 10, even though it deserves a 12. I had dinner and drinks there last night for the first time with a couple friends. WOW I don't get impressed to often but the service there was second to none. period. I couldnt believe it, the bartender, I believe his name was Rob? (I had a few too many draft beers) BTW I was extremely surpirsed they had Arrogant Bastard beer on Draft! (go ahead) anyways He was unbelievalby friendly, he even brought us over some shots to try out since they were a little slow. The food came quickly, and was absolutely delicious! The staff had perfect timing with asking if you needed another drink before your runs out. I highly, highly recommend the Library. I also think it was a very unique and out of the box concept to go for the library theme! I love how the menu is on the inside of books! Will definately be back again!

I figure that a place which gives away half-priced appetizers after eleven every night and still can't bring in a crowd must not be too great.

I know guys in a couple acoustic bands who play there from time to time and people that go there to hear them, and I hear nothing but Great things about their food and service, even though I haven't had time to check it out myself yet..

Half price apts is a pretty common special for most places that serve food, but I think it was not jam packed because we were there on a Tuesday, and it is located at the other end of southside away from Diesel, Nakama, Elixer, Town Tavern, and S Bar which draws crowds tuesdays. I think you would be pleasantly suprised if you gave it a shot, I know I was. I love when bartenders drum up their custom drinks and have you try them, I think that is nice!

Uh, no, half-price isn't very common at all, especially outside of Oakland. But if you take a look at Mad Mex, Fuel & Fuddle or other places with half-price menus, they're all packed every night of the week.

Im not arguing with you, for all know the place could have gotten packed after I left, I did not go there for half price apps, we were just kind of driving around looking for a different place to eat. As far as half price apps...who doesnt have them? even Nakama does (yes it is always packed) but the library is different...its not a trendy place and it is not as well maketed as any of the Big Burrito places, it is kind of a mom and pop spot that is very nice change of scenery. You should definately check it out

Carson City Saloon has 1/2 priced appetizers during their 5 - 7 Happy Hour! and Christ is the plate of Nacho's Huge! I doubt even Chewie could make more then just a dent in it...

Yeah I had lunch there yesterday with Chewie and my Animal Farm sammitch was awesome. Smoked sliced turkey, bacon, and a friend egg with gouda cheese and some spicy something or other - just awesome.

I'm quite familiar with the place... Familiar enough to keep most of my opinions to myself.

PS. Any place with a menu item called "Tyler Durden" is the epitome of trendy. I mean "Tender Branson" would've been a much better name, but not quite so pop culture.
