Reviews like this are the reason why the BarSmart review system needs to be revamped. The poster (tnbst8) is entitled to his/her opinion, but this one-sided post does not give a good enough description of the reason why the person had a bad experience.

The poster mentions two items: rude, ignorant service, and a small interior.

He/she praised the outside deck.

Having been to the Library on numerous occasions, it makes me wonder what night/time of day the poster visited the bar, how long was spent in the bar, whether he/she was there to eat or simply to drink ... even some basic demographics might be nice ... 21 year old? Female/male? Were you barhopping and trying to get a quick beer or were you there for a full meal?

It just seems that there are so many factors that can influence someone's decision, and a single "bad experience" doesn't give a complete picture as to what was bad about the experience.

Then again, maybe I should take these reviews with a grain of salt (and a shot of tequila + a lemon chaser).

Also does not mention whether he was smacking the bartenders asses or asking them to go home with him which are a couple reasons his service mighta SUCKED.
I was actually amused at someone complaining about one of my guest bartenders. He sat behind the red bull cooler in the back section of my bar. It is clearly out of sight of the bartenders who had no clue that he tips $10 - $40 and expects them to periodically check on him.
People gotta realize that its not always the bartender or servers fault when bad service is given. My customer still tipped b/c when the girl next to him started bitching that he wasnt getting served, I went to him and said 'hey fucko, how u expect them to see you behind this cooler' he was like 'ur right b, my bad'. Real simple solution to a problem I noticed observing my crowd.
These are reasons reviews should be almost as thorough as minx's review of moto. P.s. Moto bartender/server Olivia will be guest bartending Monday 2/25 @ McClaren's Bar in Munhall. It is also one of our bartenders (Jessica) birthday party. We have a great review system - Peer Review where all posts can be questioned by people like you Beej. It lets us be more impartial...

But yeah when I see a review that says service sucked, but doesn't give an example, I gotta wonder what was really going on. People typically avoid details when it's their fault.
