You'll get a very mixed crowd at Boots, but always a fun and friendly one. Most people i know there live within a few blocks of the bar, and seeing as how it's S.Oakland mostly everyone is early-mid 20's, except for Hippie Mike, but everybody loves him.

The drinks are priced very well, which is good, because you'll want to put the rest of your money into tipping the bartenders. They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Amy, Amara, Danyelle, Stephanie, Jamie(sp?) love em all...

Bootleggers is great unless you order shots, in which case they are INCREDIBLY underpoured into tiny tiny "shot glass"

I turned 21 here when it was the S.O.D. Bar - and I've had a soft sport for it... but yeah I'd have to agree it's a darn good bar for sports. TV's everywhere, darts, pool.

Yep, if you are college age or just outside of that demographic, this is a spot I highly recommend. Always a fun atmosphere and very laid-back, as expected out of a bar in this location.

If I wasn't old as dirt, I'd love to hang out there again.
