I ended up visiting Barley and Hop's three times this week after playing tennis at South Park. I typically do not do repeat visits like this but this place is great! They had two fantastic summer beers on tap, Sea Dog Blueberry and Lancaster Strawberry. They were icy cold and delicious. My husband and I were hooked. This was a perfect stop to cool off from the heat after an afternoon of ... View More

I was in route to drop a friend off in Bloomfield this past Friday but before I dropped her off we decided to drop by Del's for a drink. Del's is conveniently located on Liberty Ave. in Bloomfield not far from the Bloomfield Bridge. We walked in around 9:30 p.m. and were able to get to get a seat at the bar. The Steeler game was still going on. It was a fun and relaxing way to watch the game. ... View More

I discovered Gooski's two Sundays ago after the Artwhatyougot Event on Polish Hill. We parked right in front of the place and I didn't even notice. As we were loading our equipment in our cars it caught my eye. I asked a friend if that was bar and she said "Yes! That's Gooskis!" It was about 90 degrees out so we just about ran into the place. The first thing I noticed was how icy cold the ... View More

My first experience in Siebs Irish Pub was a good one. I like how it is conveniently located right on Babcock Boulevard. Second, the parking lot is huge and well lit. The place is more than a Pub. They actually have rooms that you can rent for parties and conferences or meetings. To get to the pub you go left. The rooms are to the right. I loved the design of the bar. It wraps around the ... After I read everyone else's reviews on Saddleridge I was wondering if I had gone into the wrong place! My first impression of the place...well let's put it this way, I was not impressed. It looks like a warehouse with a mechanical bull in the middle of it. That's about the extent of it. Maybe I'm wrong, but it does not look like the owners put any money at all into making their establishment ... View More

I have mixed feelings about Finnegan's. Every time I'm at the North Shore I seem to end up there. Why? Because I love Irish pubs. I keep hoping that one day the management at Finnegan's Wake will make their place an "authentic" Irish pub with "authentic" irish music, beer, food, atmosphere, etc. I'll keep hoping. Right now, Finnegan's Wake is only about 25% irish pub, 25% sports bar and ... View More

I absolutely love Paddy's Pourhouse. Our lead singer Matt Hughes led me to this place because they play live music at 9:00 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. The bar is quaint and cozy and has a very homey feel to it. The Guinness on tap is poured slowly and it is always ice cold. Their shepherds pie is to die for. Honestly, I have not found another place that beats it. Grant it, the kitchen ... View More

Barry's Pub is an ordinary neighborhood bar that has nothing really special about it. The menu was sticky and beers on tap were nothing to brag home about. The thing that struck me most is that the overall atmosphere is not welcoming for anybody over the age of 30. Live music would help but for some odd reason they refuse to bring in bands. When I asked the bartender why he said "because we're ... View More
