I'm here every Friday night for alternative 80s! It's a great place to drink and dance. Not your typical frat boy hang out, which is really different for SouthSide bars. I'd definitely suggest the Lava Lounge.

Live band Karaoke on Tues. night RAWKS! I think that it is the best night to be at The Upstage. Its not as crowded, and the band and Spaz, the MC, are awesome. Live band karaoke is much more fun than regular karaoke. It is also more fun to watch others do it. Tip the band a buck and you get a free well drink.

I don't know what some of these reviewers are thinking?! G-SPOT is the best party bar I've been to in the Burgh. My friends and I go there every weekend and we love it. We dance up on the stage and on the pillars in the middle of the dance floor. Who needs to dance on the bars? And free shots? Get them everytime we're there. Actually, they crack open a few cases and give those away, too!

Rumshakers is a very cool, fun and friendly place to hang-out. The security is tight there because they are a responsible bar and very safe. I would recommend Rumshakers to anybody looking to have a good time in the South Side, without denting your wallet. I rate this club a solid 10.

The oldest and possibly the best bar in Pittsburgh. A real home town bar feel accompanied by a great variety of beer, tons of interesting relics (and bras!), and good food. It may look like a dive, but it's worth sticking around for. All the patrons are nice, and the Monday night bartender, Becky, is the best I've ever had. Very knowledgable about all the beers they have and great at recommending the best ones. Check it out! Oh yeah, they also have a nice outdoor deck, but I haven't checked that out yet.

I love this place. This is definitely the place to go if you don't feel like dealing with all the hassle of trying to get down to the soutside. Prices are decent, staff is awesome, and karaoke rocks there. There is also this girl names Karen that frequents here who loves Styx. She rocks

You first have to visit this place before forming an opinion on it. I just went there on my 21st bday, and I couldn't have been more impressed. Even though it was a dead tues. night, the friendly enviorment made up for it. I can honestly say that the owner himself, was more generous than he needed to be...thanks for playing my kind of music! The best part of the atmosphere were the employees. Nothing but funny and easy going people. I had a great 21st and will definetly go back! If anyone from there reads this...Thanks guys!

Fathead's has the best selection of beer in the Southside and the food is outstanding as well! A big "TWO THUMBS UP!"

Great food, great people and the karaoke is probably the best around, with KJ "Bella" Lisa. Tons of fun and some of the craziest bartenders around.
