STAFF REVIEW
Dante's, located near the intersection of Rt 51 and Brownsville Road in Brentwood is nice breath of fresh air in an unchanging, and often run down, local bar scene.
Overall this establishment is more restaurant than bar, but that doesn't mean you should overlook the bar either. It's small enough to make new friends, but large enough that you don't have to worry about being overcrowded when you walk in with some friends after work.
The restaurant area reminds me of an some of the area local diners. Lots of brown wood, booths and pictures of things you would never hang in your own home, complete with a parkay wood flooring. This area also looks like it can be used for larger events since there is a disco ball mounted to the ceiling and the bar can actually open up into the back area very easily.
When I first saw the menu I thought things were a bit on the pricey side until I actually got my order and realized that there was no way I could finish it in one sitting... and it was good too! Really the prices aren't that bad - even a little cheaper than chain restaurants - but with better quality.
Brentwood, specifically the part on Brownsville road, needed a good bar and I think Dante's has what it takes to impress almost anyone.
