If you have been to Club Café in the past you will be blown away by the changes that the club has made in the last year while under new ownership. The entire bar is completely decorated with a relaxing theme that makes you feel like the place is part museum. The stage area has a wonderful fiber-optic backdrop that changes with the mood of the music. Club Café has a wondering drink selection that includes a large variety of single malts, vodkas, and even a nice selection of tequilas. The menu is limited but instead of selling typical greasy bar food, they offer dishes that you can sit back and pick at while enjoying the music. I'd have to say that this place was built around the idea of having top quality bands perform for sophisticated adults. This is perhaps one of the most perfect places in Pittsburgh to take a date, especially if it is your first date.

Positives - appearance, food,friendly bartender, availibility of live music.
Negatives- Drinks were overpriced, small venue, unfriendly staff, not enough staff to meet demands even for a small crowd.
I would not go back there, nor would i recommend this bar for someone looking to go out and have a good time on the southside, when there is so many other options.

I just went to the Formula 21 show last night and everything went amazing! The dance area was large with plenty of space to move around--even in a sold-out show. The staff was quick and helpful, including the waitress who brought our drinks to us. Bathrooms were clean and the food was great too. I'm sure a lot of it had to do with the awesome band we saw but the experience was perfect for all four of my friends.

Club Cafe was a pleasant discovery for me. I went to see Cellofourte play and was amazed. The performance was great. The stage had a cool curtain behind it with little lights so it looked like the night sky. Its small but classy. The drinks were mixed well. It was a great place for me to get away from my usual bars/clubs. I went alone and felt perfectly comfortable. I think this may be my new secret spot. Well... its not so secret anymore now that I just told you.

Hi-de-ho Boys and Girls! Rockin Steve R here to fill you all in on the show last night and what a show it was..

Still Small Voice was the opening act, with an all acoustic set and even with the lead singer being sick as a dog they still did a phenominal job (I hope you feel better soon Justin!). Because of Justin being so sick they took some of their songs down a key and it really worked. My Hats off to you guys on a job well done!

Then Here comes the main attraction, Too Tall Jones, Walking up to the stage to the sound of the Rocky Theme song playing on the house speakers (Always a great choice!). There is no way that I can explain just how much these guys Rock! Freddie (the lead singer) is just a mad man behind the mic with one of the best damn voices of anyone I've ever heard!! They play mostly orrigional songs of theirs but they do play a small handfull of covers and really change them up to make them their own. Their version of "Personal Jesus" in my opinion is better then both the orrigional or Manson's version!! They also played a few songs from their up and coming CD that they are still working on, and if this was just a taste of what is to come, these guys are going to have one hell of a hit on their hands.

I can't wait for the release this new CD (I better get an invite to the release

Great job to you all and I can't wait till the next show!

Rock on!!! ::M^)::

Club Café is a great place for an intimate date or hanging out with friends while sipping some cocktails. Sitting at the bar (which by the way changes colors) while enjoying live music is quite enjoyable. Not many bars in Pittsburgh carry this type of charm. The scene inside is dark and trendy.. I’ve never left there an un-happy camper!
