I've been to Downey's House several times and each time has been a very enjoyable environment, drinks, and food.
There are 3 parts to Downey's House...all three have their own entrances: the dining room, the bar area, and the outdoor area.
The dining room is just that, a dining room, sit down and eat.
The bar area is through a doorway from the dining room or from 2 outside entrances.
There is a very large square bar with seating around it.
Also around the walls,
seating is available.
The bar area opens to more seating and a a stage with live acts.
The bathrooms are also located in this room as well as lots of TV's.
Out of the back door is the walkway to the outoor deck.
So, the outdoor area is where I spent most of the time last night.
It is a huge covered deck with more seating, more TV's, 2 more bars (one under the cover one not), pool table, and cornhole.
The staff was excellent usually having at least 2 people behind the bar at all times but typically there were 4.
The bartender knew my name and was prompt to acknowledge when I needed something.
I know on the inside they have quite a few drafts available and I've always been able to get a seasonal draft.
At the outside bar, they had 3 drafts available.
But the surprise was I found a very tasty beer and only $2.50 each, some sorta nut brown.
I need to go back just to ask what it was.
I've had several things over the years.
Their pizza is really good, but last night I had the pizza rolls.
Half of the order (4) was Chicken Bacon Cheddar Rolls the other half (4) was Pepperoni Rolls.
Overall, it's a great place that started getting more busy just as I left, great food, will definitely be back for food and drinks.
