The Baja Bar and Grill ("BBG") is an incredible venue for local bands.
For the 40 and over crowd it's probably one of the best places to mingle and dance to music that's familiar.
The BBG "complex" sits next to, and is connected to, the Fox Chapel Yacht Club.
The BBG portion of the Yacht Club
reminds me of a barn without the walls as it's more of a roof over the bar, dance floor and stage area.
The wooden plank floor can be a challenge to find sure footing after a few drinks so beware of the uneven dance floor boards.
The bands the play there are very interactive with the crowd and usually play what you want to hear.
Plenty of seating around the bar and tables/chairs surround the dance floor as well.
Although, there is still plenty of standing room for the fortunate people that arrive after the band begins at 8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The view of the river, dock and boats is great.
It really brings a resort feeling to the place.
Smoking is allowed as this venue is outside.
The bartenders are extremely friendly whether you are a one time visitor or a "local."
Great service and stiff drinks are the norm for this amazing place.
The menu is typical bar food and the generous portions with surely have you sharing it with your friends.
Tired of the loud music and crowds while you're here?
Head on over to the many picnic tables outside of the decks.
Or, cruise inside to the Fox Chapel Yacht Club bar inside.
During the winter months the action moves inside.
But be prepared to arrive early as this place packs them in ...
and it can get rather smokey too.
Drinks are dealt with some generous portions of alcohol inside as well as outside.
Highly recommend this place if you enjoy partying outdoors with live bands and throngs of people.
