My most recent show was Clutch at Mr. Small's. It's a nice venue, but for that show it was WAY too crowded. We were in the back and the two women I was with were each only 5 feet tall, so couldn't see jack shit. Then you had to push through the entire crowd to get to the bathrooms because they were at the very front of the place. Moral of the story... don't see bigger acts at Mr. Small's. It's great for local shows though.

If they put additional bathrooms at the back of the place, I would bump them up to a rating of 8.

Well what can I say here. Mr Smalls is not so much a bar but more of a small concert hall. Actually it is a church converted into a concert hall. It is easy to drive right past it because there are no big lights outside and the only sign is put out by the entrance to the church which you actually have to get out of your car and walk up to to see it.
Anyways, after you do find it you have to go around the side to get in. The band is set up in an area where the altar would have been. The bar is back on the right side of the room. They have all-ages shows so when we went the floor was completely crowded but the bar area had a bit of breathing room. Nevertheless it was very crowded and extremely hot. We got two bottled beers but they tasted funny. Not sure how you get bottled beer to taste funny but there was definitely something funny about it.
Anyways, I would not go there just to see any average band althought there might be more room if the band wasn't that popular.
I probably wouldn't go there again but if you are under 21 it is better than sitting home watching Friends re-runs.
