The BBT is known for several things... they have excellent wings, a monster beer selection, excellent cleanliness standards and also for the fact that they aren't really located all that close to the Birmingham Bridge. The Hot Metal bridge is really their closest water crossing.

On my most recent visit I noticed that they have some new wing sauce flavors - like Hot Butter Garlic and Death Metal. (For those of you who have had Eric The Red wings, Death Metal is the super hot version of that flavor.)

I was also impressed by the quick service. I was greeted near the door and asked for my order before I could sit, and before I could take my second sip of beer my wings showed up in front of me steaming hot. Even for wing-night where a bar is prepared and the kitchen is in overdrive I was blow away by this.

The don't really do too much with live music anymore and I totally understand why, but a few times a year they bring in some musicians and give away the proceeds to a local charity.

They also have a few upstairs rooms that you can rent for various functions... everything from club meetings to small class reunions. The second floor is a complete bar and renting it out feels a lot like having your own bar.

Oh yeah, the beer selection - not only do they have a lot of beers, but almost everyone behind the bar knows what they are talking about when it comes to the beers they have. Based on what you normally drink, they can suggest several beers and the first one is almost always a winner.
