STAFF REVIEW

The Boulevard Lounge is under new ownership and is following a whole new direction. No longer is it a haven for old men, instead the younger crowd now walks in the door for karaoke, free wing night and bikini events. When I walked in the door the first thing I noticed was the large circular bar in the middle of the bar area. Behind the bar was a friendly bartender who attended to me as soon as I sat down and then i noticed all of the TV's tucked up in the bar, viewable from any seat at the bar. While I wouldn't call this place a sports bar, there is no reason to not go to The Boulevard Lounge to watch the game either. Behind the bar, in it's own little area, is a electronic pool table. To the ordinary player it is no different than a regular pool table... only this one can take paper money, and can add extra features to games like timed shots. I know it sounds like an odd thing to write about but I've never seen one before, and I believe that The Boulevard has one of 4 in the entire state... Behind the pool table in yet another separate area is the dining room... it's far enough away from the bar that you don't hear most of the noise and nice enough to be called family dining. I noticed the jukebox even has a note on it disallowing inappropriate music before 9:00PM. All in all I am already comfortable in saying that The Boulevard Lounge is the best bar in the area, and I'm positive it is going to keep changing for the better.
